Walmart Fulfillment Center

With BRR’s long-standing relationship with Walmart, our team was selected as the architect of record for the company’s next-generation fulfillment center located outside of Chicago, IL. This technology-focused fulfillment center is the first of four planned for Walmart as the brand strives to reach more customers with next- or two-day shipping.

This 1.1 million square foot warehouse holds 300 million cubic feet of storage and features advanced automation technology to boost efficiencies to process as many orders as possible. BRR’s challenge was to maximize the vertical space inside the warehouse to house all the equipment needed and create an inviting space where team members would want to work.
