Cedar Port Logistics Center II

  • Baytown, TX

After the success of Cedar Port Phase I, Capital Development Partners tasked BRR with designing a sister facility on the adjacent site. Cedar Port Logistics Center sits on a 90-acre site in Baytown, Texas, strategically placed near the Houston Port Authority.
The 800,405 square-foot facility is approximately 1,900 feet long and backs up directly onto the railroad for easy access to Union Pacific and BNSF rail cars. Products from both rail companies can enter the facility on one side, process inside, be loaded onto semi-truck docks on the other side and then prepared for shipment. Our design team took efficiency into heavy consideration while deeply collaborating with railway engineers to make this systematic process possible.
The building is designed to be constructed with site-cast panels poured directly on-site to eliminate a portion of the transportation costs associated with the materials. Once dry, the panels will be tilted up by cranes into their permanent vertical positions. BRR has led the project design from design development through CD production and is continuing to assist and coordinate with Capital Development Partners and the General Contractor. The facility is anticipated to open in 2024.
