Architectural designers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases, through early schematic design and entitlement stages, through construction document production, construction administration and project closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate materials, building products, constructability and processes
  • Assist in building programming
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration and structural engineering disciplines
  • Develop and assist in client and peer presentations

Qualifications
  • NAAB-accredited architectural degree or related architectural/interior degree
  • 0-2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills, and willingness to contribute in a collaborative team environment
  • Motivation to research and utilize technology in architectural applications

Project managers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases and act as the overall team resource for coordinating, scheduling, reviewing, evaluating, and developing processes designed to improve production efficiencies and profitability through the effective management of team members and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Management of projects, design, drawing development, construction administration, production cost control, coordination of all design disciplines and implementation of procedures established.
  • Understand and be able to communicate how different projects interlink and overlap.
  • Communicate and monitor project and company goals.
  • Build, develop and maintain client relations.
  • Expand program offerings and enhance quality of existing programs.
  • Prepare, interpret and/or develop programs and direct work of all disciplines involved in providing professional services required to meet Owner needs. Presentation of work and public relation activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor (Masters) of Architecture or equivalent, minimum of seven (7) years of architectural experience, including at least five (5) years at a project architect level.
  • Experience should include commercial/retail/grocery construction document production, code analysis, engineering coordination, site planning, permitting and project management.
  • Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills required. Plus, a demonstrated ability to achieve results
  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve all functional areas including architectural, engineering and project budgets.
  • Ability to manage varying projects with a technical approach. Must be able to provide the leadership and business judgment to effectively influence decisions involving the interests of BRR Architecture and clients.
  • Have the initiative to mentor and teach emerging architects and contribute to a smaller collaborative studio.
  • Registered architectural license preferred.

We’re seeking a talented graphic designer to join the Marketing & Communications team in our Kansas City-area office. This team member would be responsible for producing marketing materials, including (but not limited to) portfolios, brochures, proposals, internal communications, email marketing, recruitment campaigns, signage and swag.

We’re a national design firm with 11 offices, and our team supports them all. Everything we do is built on our team-based approach; regardless of wher­­­e an internal client is located, our goal is to provide full service marketing and communications support firm-wide.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in marketing efforts such as designing, producing and maintaining BRR branded marketing collateral (proposals, portfolios, brochures, internal communication, email marketing, recruitment campaigns, swag, etc.)
  • Coordinate and maintain vendor relationships for offsite printing and production of BRR marketing materials when needed.
  • Ability to provide art direction on photo shoots, including photo editing/retouching for projects.
  • Assist in the production and maintenance of digital graphics, including website, email marketing, etc.
  • Participate in marketing-related and external client brain storming sessions.
  • Create effective and creative design for branding and environmental graphic packages, including but not limited to wall graphics, signage, etc.
  • Coordinate and work collaboratively with interior design and architectural teams on client projects, as needed. Produce sketches and/or mock ups of proposed design solutions. Meet with and evaluate proposed design solutions with other staff
  • Receive/Process feedback and generate additional design iterations
  • Provide daily updates and feedback on assigned projects
Qualifications
  • Graphic Design, Studio Art, or equivalent bachelor’s degree; 2-4 years’ experience, A/E/C industry preferred
  • Software Proficiency: Adobe Creative Suite for design. Knowledge of PowerPoint, Wordpress, SketchUp and hand illustration skills a plus.
  • Portfolio review required. Ideal candidate will have examples of strong, creative design solutions, brand understanding, and strong typographic and layout skills
  • Candidate must be outgoing, have a positive attitude, demonstrate strong communication skills and pay close attention to detail. Successful candidate will be required to manage projects independently, take direction from others and work towards appropriate design solutions all the while keeping supervisors and team members apprised of progress and/or challenges.
  • Candidate must have strong project management skills, a self-starter with the ability to track deadlines and manage logistics. Ideally, the candidate will have strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate design intent while meeting client’s vision and budget expectations.
  • Writing skills, especially for social media, a huge plus.

We seek a part-time graphic design intern to support our busy and growing marketing & communications department. The ideal candidate will project a positive, can-do attitude. Self-starter appreciated. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with all team members and management, as well as clients and external consultants when necessary. Must be able to multi-task and pay close attention to detail, stay organized and able to meet deadlines. Strong Adobe Suite experience (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Spark) is required.  Additionally, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel & Outlook and Power Point — skills are required.

 

The position would be paid, 15-20 hours a week. Flexible scheduling possible. Length of internship negotiable.

Qualifications
  • Undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in graphic design, marketing or similar field
  • Writing skills a bonus.

This teammate will become a team resource and insure projects are coordinated, communicated, implemented timely and with high quality standards. This position is responsible for construction documentation and to aid in monitoring both the quality of the documents as well as meeting scheduled deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Providing quality documents drafted in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Coordinating, communicating and implementing project changes.
  • Assisting with general development tools maintenance.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Architectural drafting degree with a 0 to 3 years’ experience or related training.
  • Must have the basic understanding of the building industry to communicate issues involving functional areas of architecture and engineering.
  • Must have the ability to understand and communicate effectively with all team members along with working efficiently and effectively on quick turnaround projects.
  • Computer software knowledge, skills in Revit and AutoCAD are critical. May include some travel opportunities.
