Project managers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases and act as the overall team resource for coordinating, scheduling, reviewing, evaluating, and developing processes designed to improve production efficiencies and profitability through the effective management of team members and projects. (Minimum 5 years architectural experience)

Responsibilities
  • To be a team resource for coordinating, scheduling, reviewing, evaluating, and developing processes designed to improve production efficiencies and profitability through the effective management of team members and projects.
  • Management of projects, design, drawing development, construction administration, production cost control, coordination of all design disciplines and implementation of procedures established.
  • Understand and be able to communicate how different projects interlink and overlap.
  • Communicate and monitor program, project, and company goals.
  • Build, develop and maintain client relations.
  • Expand program offerings and enhance quality of existing programs.
  • Prepare, interpret and/or develop programs and direct work of all disciplines involved in providing professional services required to meet Client needs. Presentation of work and public relation activities.
  • Monitor architectural design and approvals.
  • Guide and mentor staff with problem solving of production issues.
  • Ultimate responsibility for ensuring success of project.
  • Review architectural designs, production documents and construction change directive documents.
  • Assist in permitting processes and challenges.
  • Monitor construction administration correspondence: emails, RFI and shop submittal for accuracy.
  • Work in partnership with AE and client design teams, client vendors as needed, and client construction consultants during construction phase of work for project success.
  • Conduct site observation trips and generate field reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor (Masters) of Architecture or equivalent, minimum of five (5) years of architectural experience, including at least two (2) years at a project architect level.
  • Experience should include commercial/grocery/industrial/retail project management, code analysis, site planning, construction document production, engineering coordination, permitting and construction management.
  • Strong Revit skills required. Plus, a demonstrated ability to achieve results.
  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve all functional areas including architectural, engineering and project budgets.
  • Ability to manage varying projects with a technical approach.
  • Must be able to provide the leadership and business judgement to effectively influence decisions involving the interests of BRR Architecture and clients.
  • Have the initiative to mentor and teach emerging architects and contribute to a smaller collaborative studio.
  • Registered architectural license preferred.

Architectural designers contribute to the overall team and assigned program in coordinating, scheduling, evaluating and developing processes to improve production efficiencies through the effective management of projects and tasks. They will assist in architectural research, document/design development, and program-wide implementation efforts.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate materials, building products, constructability and processes
  • Produce detailed construction documents for projects
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Refrigeration and Structural disciplines
  • Develop and assist in client and peer presentations
  • Attend project and studio meetings
  • Build, develop, and maintain client relations
  • Assist in problem solving of production issues
  • Responsibility for ensuring success of project
  • Review architectural designs, production documents, and construction change directives
  • Conduct site scopes, observation trips, and generate field reports
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of full scope architectural experience
  • Experience should include commercial/retail/grocery construction document production, code analysis, engineering coordination, site planning, permitting and project management
  • Strong Revit skills required
  • Strong communication skills along with the willingness to mentor, learn, and contribute in a smaller collaborative office environment
  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve all functional areas including architectural, engineering and project budgets
  • Ability to manage varying projects with a technical approach and the desire to work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment
  • Drive to research and utilize technology in architectural applications
  • Architectural license or pursuit of licensure preferred

This position will utilize knowledge of construction products, detailing, materials, and methods to perform the quality control process for a variety of complex projects and building types including retail, hospitality, grocery, office environments, and industrial.

Responsibilities
  • Review in-progress projects, ensuring complete and coordinated construction drawings and offering modifications and improvements when needed.
  • Be the go-to resource for architects and design staff for design review, constructability, building performance, and sustainability goals.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines – phases, milestone deliveries, and various project delivery types.
  • Confirm the project coordination of all disciplines and consultants.
  • Propose continual development and improvements of construction drawings including its specialized content for project type or regional conditions, based on project work.
  • Maintain awareness of industry reference standards and resources.
  • Participate in process meetings scheduled for assigned projects.
  • Assist project managers and architects with product consideration and substitution review
  • Collaborate with peers to develop best practices and share knowledge. Mentor emerging professionals.
Qualifications
  • NAAB accredited degree in Architecture
  • Minimum of 10 years related experience
  • Professional licensure required
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques is essential
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and working with MasterSpec
