Architectural designers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases, through early schematic design and entitlement stages, through construction document production, construction administration and project closeout.

  • Evaluate materials, building products, constructability and processes
  • Assist in building programming
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration and structural engineering disciplines
  • Develop and assist in client and peer presentations
  • Attend project and studio meetings
  • NAAB-accredited architectural degree or related architectural/interior degree
  • 0-2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD

Project managers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases and act as the overall team resource for coordinating, scheduling, reviewing, evaluating, and developing processes designed to improve production efficiencies and profitability through the effective management of team members and projects.

  • Management of projects, design, drawing development, construction administration, production cost control, coordination of all design disciplines and implementation of procedures established.
  • Understand and be able to communicate how different projects interlink and overlap.
  • Communicate and monitor project and company goals.
  • Build, develop and maintain client relations.
  • Expand program offerings and enhance quality of existing programs.
  • Prepare, interpret and/or develop programs and direct work of all disciplines involved in providing professional services required to meet Owner needs. Presentation of work and public relation activities.
  • Bachelor (Masters) of Architecture or equivalent, minimum of seven (7) years of architectural experience, including at least five (5) years at a project architect level.
  • Experience should include commercial/retail/grocery construction document production, code analysis, engineering coordination, site planning, permitting and project management.
  • Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills required. Plus, a demonstrated ability to achieve results
  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve all functional areas including architectural, engineering and project budgets.
  • Ability to manage varying projects with a technical approach. Must be able to provide the leadership and business judgment to effectively influence decisions involving the interests of BRR Architecture and clients.
  • Have the initiative to mentor and teach emerging architects and contribute to a smaller collaborative studio.
  • Registered architectural license preferred.

BRR’s interns have the opportunity to work on real projects with real clients and deadlines. You will join a studio and be immersed in architectural design, coordination process and real world knowledge. BRR has opportunities for architecture, interior design and drafting tech students. It’s a plus if you have Revit or AutoCAD skills.

We seek a part-time intern, available immediately for approximately 15 hours a week, to support our information systems & technology team. The primary role of the Software Developer Intern is to write code to fix bugs and add new improvements/features to our internal websites, add-ins, and applications. The intern will work with our senior software developer to accomplish these tasks.

  • Working with end users to troubleshoot issues, suggest improvements, and design new features
  • Documenting bugs, features, and improvements in our issue tracking system (Jira)
  • Writing code to fix bugs and add new improvements/features
  • Testing code to ensure quality
  • Committing code to our version control system (Git/Bitbucket)
  • Other tasks as appropriate
  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Computer Science or a closely related degree
  • Ability to work independently, taking initiative, setting priorities and seeing projects/tasks through to completion
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Exhibit a strong customer service approach
  • Must be eager to learn and have excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, exceptional initiative, and ability to work effectively in a professional atmosphere with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience in any of the following technologies is a plus: C#; ASP.NET MVC; Microsoft SQL Server; AutoCAD/Revit APIs; jQuery; AngularJS; ElasticSearch; SharePoint

This position will utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types including retail, hospitality, grocery, office environments, and industrial.

This position could be located in any BRR office.

  • Produce project specific Project Manuals utilizing MasterSpec or client-based specifications.
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines – phases, milestone deliveries and various project delivery types.
  • Coordinate the Project Manual efforts of all disciplines and consultants
  • Review in-progress drawings, ensuring complete and coordinated technical specifications and offering modifications and improvements when appropriate.
  • Propose continual development and improvement of master specifications including its specialized content for project type or regional conditions as well as sustainable content, based on project work.
  • Maintain awareness of industry reference standards and resources.
  • Participate in process meetings scheduled for assigned projects.
  • Assist project managers and architects with product substitution review.
  • Collaborate with peers to develop best practices and share knowledge. Mentor emerging professionals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
  • Assist in facilitating and hosting AIA in-house learning presentations from vendors.
  • Support Sustainability goals of the firm.
  • NAAB accredited degree in Architecture preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years related experience
  • Professional licensure, CDT certification and CSI membership preferred
  • Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques is essential
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, collaboration and problem-solving skills
  • Must be proficient in MS Office and working with MasterSpec
