BRR has enjoyed a years-long collaboration with Cyderes (formerly Fishtech Group) on its headquarters campus in south Kansas City Metro Area. What began as an initial office space remodel grew into the creation of a master plan for the company’s new headquarters and Cyber Defense Center environment.
The subsequent designs created an award-winning environment, which includes open areas for collaboration, quiet spaces for solo work, indoor and outdoor dining areas, custom-fritted windows, event spaces, a classic car showroom and an outdoor veranda space with a Par-3 golf tee.

Room to grow
Original plans for the years-empty grayfield site anticipated that Cyderes may one day grow. The initial plans positioned the HQ building on the southern end of the property, leaving ample space in the northern half to one day house the Cyber Defense Center, Pavilion and golf course.
Complementary concepts
The CDC building offers bold contrast against the headquarters building, and contrast within its own materials. A white metal panel box is carved out to reveal the interior space. The materials chosen create a dramatic inverse at night — the glass glows to reveal the interior, while the white box becomes a contrasting solid.

Cyderes Headquarters Office
Cyderes’ headquarters was developed around the concept of contrast – light versus dark, warm versus cool. In keeping with the design concept, the headquarters office building strikes a balance between the first floor showroom and second floor office space.

The sleek, modern Cyber Defense Center integrates a Security Operations Center designed for cyber defense and response with a flexible work environment for high-demand tech employees.
