BRR's Eirene Knott Receives ICC Community Service Award

Congratulations to BRR Architecture’s Director of Code Services, Eirene Knott, MCP, who received the 2026 Community Service Award from the International Code Council (ICC). The award recognizes outstanding service that promotes public health, safety and welfare.

“Eirene has strengthened the code profession through local enforcement, private-sector leadership, education and advocacy,” according to remarks prepared by Randall Metz, MPA, chair of the ICC Awards and Honorary Members Committee.

Eirene brings more than 30 years of experience with building and fire codes nationwide and has been a member of ICC since 2002. At BRR, Eirene leads the firm’s code services to help project teams understand code language and apply it to their day-to-day work. Eirene is also an active participant in the code development process and has authored multiple code changes that clarify the codes’ intent. She works to make codes easier to use for both enforcement and design professionals.

Eirene was recognized at the awards luncheon during the ICC Annual Conference and Expo, held Oct. 18-21 in Nashville.
