Santa’s Fantastical
Overview

The BRR Atlanta office won the opportunity to lead the Santa’s Fantastical conversion project. The project turned a 40,000 sq ft former retail store into a fun, digital pop-up “art museum” based on Santa’s famous workshop at the North Pole. The goal of this pop-up was to create an immersive experience where friends and family could celebrate the holidays together.

The museum consists of playful light tunnels and illuminating paths through a winter wonderland scene, all ending at a 17-foot tall illuminated ornament. The space also features a Santa’s workshop, which consists of rooms full of interactive, themed installations and other activities for families. BRR worked closely with the owner, building officials and building department heads to find solutions for this unique project, including the addition of a space for catering, remote restrooms and a bar. These solutions and collaboration between all of the stakeholder groups ultimately helped streamline the permitting process.
