Hinsdale Lake Commons

When it was announced that Hinsdale Lake Commons, as shopping center in the west Chicago suburbs, would welcome a Whole Foods Market, the center’s developer seized the opportunity to upgrade the rest of the development.

The upgrades to Hinsdale Lake Commons included $9 million in exterior renovations. The design pulled from exterior upgrades made to the Whole Foods storefront, and used the same wood tones and horizontal elements to visually connect the rest of the shopping center with its anchor tenant. An outdoor seating area was also added to create a social space for shoppers.
