BRR Architecture is excited to publicly congratulate Mike Popp for being selected by Governor Jay Nixon to serve on the Missouri Board of Architects, Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors and Landscape Architects, more commonly known as the APEPLSLA Board.
Mike is a Senior Specification Writer for BRR and has more than 27 years of experience providing project management, quality assurance, architectural specifications and construction administration services. He was first nominated for the APEPLSLA Board in the summer of 2013 and just recently received confirmation of his selection. Mike’s term with the Board will run through September 2015.
The APEPLSLA Board was founded in 1941 with a purpose to “protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Missouri against the danger of collapse of structures erected for public use; and to safequard Missouri residents and their property from damages that might result from illegal and/or incompetent architectural, engineering, land surveying and landscape architectural practices,” according to its 2010 Strategic Planning Initiative. Among numerous duties concerning the supervision of the various practices, the Board maintains responsibility for the licensing and regulation of more than 25,000 design professionals in the State of Missouri.
