Announcing our newest Principal & Associates.

We’re proud to share the following promotions both within and to our leadership team!

Mariah Meyer, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted from Senior Associate to Principal and Vice President. Mariah has more than 15 years of industry experience, and has worked on multiple project types in hospitality, retail, commercial interior and education markets. As a Principal, she leads teams comprised of professional staff from multiple BRR offices to provide full architectural design services for hotel and convenience store clients in markets across the U.S.

Scott Brown, AIA, LEED AP, has been promoted to Associate. He has been with BRR for six years, and helps lead a studio of more than 25 team members working on retail remodel projects. In addition to being a leader on his team, Scott has been a key voice in enhancing the programs and support BRR offers to professional staff pursuing licensure. He has also been a mentor to multiple team members going through the ARE process.

Mark Scherrer, AIA, LEED GA, has been promoted to Associate. Mark has been with BRR for six years, and has spent a majority of his career working on remodel, takeover and new construction projects for grocery and retail clients. Mark helps lead BRR’s Whole Foods Market account and project team, and plays a critical role in managing projects in multiple Whole Foods regions.

Angela Markley, JD, has been with BRR for five years and was recently promoted to Associate. As our in-house counsel, Angela works with BRR’s leadership and project teams to implement smart, mutually-beneficial contract terms with our clients and consultants. Her expertise managing professional service agreements has been essential in maintaining positive client relationships, as well as a healthy legal and financial standing for BRR.

Zach Sumada, AIA, has been promoted to Associate and Director of Design. He has been with BRR for five years, and plays a critical role during collaborative design processes with our clients and architectural project teams. Zach works with grocery, hospitality, entertainment and commercial interior clients, and helps lead projects through the early stages of design as they advance through schematic and design development.
