Shad joined BRR in 1998 as an architectural intern tasked with helping Wal-Mart develop a new store concept, the Neighborhood Market. In 2008, he was named a Principal in the firm. Shad leads BRR’s Phoenix office, which focuses on a wide range of clients and project types including retail, commercial, mixed-use developments, and restaurants. Shad has proven instrumental in acquiring new clients since heading up the Phoenix office.

Shad maintains Architectural Registrations in 2 states. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Kansas. Shad’s day-to-day office activities include everything from managing the Phoenix office to helping train younger staff in project management, client relations, consultant relations, and quality control. Shad has worked on numerous site plans and designs for several commercial projects in Arizona.

A native of Houston, Texas, Shad is akin to warm weather. He and his wife, Kristy, have three children: Payton, Madelyn, and Connor. When not running around with his kids, Shad enjoys sailing, hiking, scuba diving, traveling and a good book.
