Dave came to work for BRR in 1991 as an Architectural Intern fresh out of the University of Kansas School of Architecture program. During the 90’s, Dave was instrumental in the development of the Wal-Mart Supercenter program. He actually earned a reputation as Wal-Mart’s lead consultant for grocery design development.

In 1995, Dave passed his architectural registration exam. In 2001, he was named a Principal in the firm. He maintains Professional Architectural Registrations in 6 states. Dave holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas. Today, he oversees the Wal-Mart Grocery Team, which through the years has become both an in-house resource for grocery and food service facilities design as well as a consultant to many other architectural firms involved with Wal-Mart's store development program across the United States. In addition, he leads all of the new store Wal-Mart projects in the Western United States, and various other commercial projects in the Southwest.

A native of St. Louis, Dave loves watching, coaching, or playing just about every sport imaginable, especially those that involve one of his four children, Thomas, Emily, Allison and Jonathan. He enjoys playing golf as often as possible, which is not often enough. Dave’s other pursuits include gardening, Scouting, playing the piano, and traveling with his wife, Katherine.
