Hal joined BRR in 1992, directing the Wal-Mart Grocery Change Team. In 2001, he became a Principal in the firm. Hal maintains Professional Architectural Registrations in 8 states. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Kansas State University.

Hal has developed and led BRR's Wal-Mart Supercenter Team from a core group of three in 1995 to today's team of more than 50 talented professionals. A great day at the office for Hal is helping a team member succeed. He enjoys working with young architects to find creative solutions to the challenges they face every day.

As far as taking on challenges outside the office, Hal enjoys climbing mountains, exploring rainforests, or diving with sharks off the coast of Mexico. When an action packed adventure is not possible, he settles for a book in the company of his three dogs. Hal and his wife, Kelly, have a son Brian, a daughter Kasey and a son-in-law Curtis along with grandson Caleb.
