Architectural designers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases, through early schematic design and entitlement stages, through construction document production, construction administration and project closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate materials, building products, constructability and processes
  • Assist in building programming
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration and structural engineering disciplines
  • Develop and assist in client and peer presentations
  • Attend project and studio meetings
Qualifications
  • NAAB-accredited architectural degree
  • 0-2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills, and willingness to contribute in a collaborative team environment
  • Motivation to research and utilize technology in architectural applications

Project managers act as team resources for project coordination and scheduling, and take active ownership in each project’s overall success. They work closely between studio leaders and project teams to develop, review and enhance project delivery methods, with the ultimate goal of improving efficiency and profitability through the successful management of team members and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day project management during all phases, including coordination between all design disciplines
  • Manage project schedules and budgets through all project phases
  • Act as a team lead in communicating and reinforcing both company and studio goals
  • Build, develop and maintain client relationships
  • Assist with developing programs and process for all disciplines in order to meet client needs
  • Monitor architectural design and approvals from client and Authorities Having Jurisdiction
  • Review architectural designs, production documents and construction change directive documents
  • Assist with permitting process
  • Monitor bid documents for accuracy
  • Conduct site observation trips and generate field reports
  • Present work at studio and company meetings, as well as relevant external opportunities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent degree
  • 10 years of architectural experience, including a minimum of 5 as a Project Architect
  • State registered architectural license required
  • NCARB certification preferred
  • Experience with commercial/retail/grocery construction document production, code analysis, engineering coordination, site planning, permitting and project management
  • High level of proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, plus a demonstrated ability to achieve results
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate complex issues that involve all functional areas, including architectural, engineering and project finance
  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and business judgment to effectively influence decisions involving the interests of BRR Architecture and clients
