Architectural designers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases, through early schematic design and entitlement stages, through construction document production, construction administration and project closeout.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate materials, building products, constructability and processes
  • Assist in building programming
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, refrigeration and structural engineering disciplines
  • Develop and assist in client and peer presentations
  • Attend project and studio meetings
Qualifications
  • NAAB-accredited architectural degree or related architectural/interior degree
  • 0-2 years of related experience and/or training
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
  • Strong communication skills, and willingness to contribute in a collaborative team environment
  • Motivation to research and utilize technology in architectural applications

Permit coordinators work closely with project teams and jurisdictions to successfully coordinate the permitting process for our projects. As a critical full-time member of BRR, this position acts as the “Director of First Impressions” to provide top-notch service to our clients, vendors, and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Complete research and code calls with all applicable agencies to obtain information pertaining to requirements for obtaining permits i.e. Building Permit, Sign Permit(s), Planning approvals, etc.
  • Submit or arrange for submission of project to agencies for plan review/permitting once the plans are complete.
  • Coordinate contracts and fee proposals with clients and consultants. Tracks and communicates approvals.
  • Follow-up with agencies regularly to obtain status of plan reviews
  • Once required plan approvals have been received, obtain requirements on pulling the required permits.
  • Keep client’s spreadsheet, database, etc. and BRR’s database updated as required.
  • Upload, distribute plans as requested by the client for updates to the project, bidding, and award distributions.
  • Work with the Project Managers and Designers throughout the permitting process.
  • General administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, filing, copying, and other report completion.
Qualifications
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook) skills, data entry, detail oriented, excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, detail oriented and organized
  • Work independently, take initiative, set priorities and see projects/tasks through to completion
  • Permitting experience a plus
  • Understand and support the role as “1st Impressions” for all communications and support
  • Outgoing, professional, and friendly faced approach to answering and responding to client, vendor and employee phone calls and visitors
  • Prefer a minimum of 3 years’ experience in an administrative/support role with a high school diploma or GED minimum

Project managers work directly with our clients, studio team members, and engineering consultant partners to create and produce innovative design solutions.  They are actively involved in all project phases and act as the overall team resource for coordinating, scheduling, reviewing, evaluating, and developing processes designed to improve production efficiencies and profitability through the effective management of team members and projects.

Responsibilities
  • Management of projects, design, drawing development, construction administration, production cost control, coordination of all design disciplines and implementation of procedures established.
  • Understand and be able to communicate how different projects interlink and overlap.
  • Communicate and monitor project and company goals.
  • Build, develop and maintain client relations.
  • Expand program offerings and enhance quality of existing programs.
  • Prepare, interpret and/or develop programs and direct work of all disciplines involved in providing professional services required to meet Owner needs. Presentation of work and public relation activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor (Masters) of Architecture or equivalent, minimum of ten (10) years of architectural experience, including at least five (5) years at a project architect level.
  • Experience should include commercial/retail/grocery construction document production, code analysis, engineering coordination, site planning, permitting and project management.
  • Strong Revit and AutoCAD skills required. Plus, a demonstrated ability to achieve results
  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve all functional areas including architectural, engineering and project budgets.
  • Ability to manage varying projects with a technical approach. Must be able to provide the leadership and business judgment to effectively influence decisions involving the interests of BRR Architecture and clients.
  • Have the initiative to mentor and teach emerging architects and contribute to a smaller collaborative studio.
  • Registered architectural license preferred.

This teammate will become a team resource and insure projects are coordinated, communicated, implemented timely and with high quality standards. This position is responsible for construction documentation and to aid in monitoring both the quality of the documents as well as meeting scheduled deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Providing quality documents drafted in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Coordinating, communicating and implementing project changes.
  • Assisting with general development tools maintenance.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Architectural drafting degree with a 0 to 3 years’ experience or related training.
  • Must have the basic understanding of the building industry to communicate issues involving functional areas of architecture and engineering.
  • Must have the ability to understand and communicate effectively with all team members along with working efficiently and effectively on quick turnaround projects.
  • Computer software knowledge, skills in Revit and AutoCAD are critical. May include some travel opportunities.

This role assists with the preparation of multi-disciplined opinion of probably costs during preliminary budgeting on a project. They will work with clients, consultants and suppliers to obtain project information for assigned OPCs.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the construction document production phase for project.
  • Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
  • Ability to complete multi-discipline OPC's within tight deadlines.
  • Attend project and studio meetings.
Qualifications
  • Construction related degree with 1+ years’ related experience and/or training.
  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues involving the functional areas of architecture and the desire to work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.
  • Computer software knowledge, RS Means online, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills along with the willingness to contribute in a smaller office environment.
